About the Program

FDA-Cleared Neurofeedback Handset
Provides neuro-guidance sessions delivered in a 24-week program by certified brain performance coaches under direction of a psychologist. These sessions enhance the brain’s ability to make sustainable and healthy neuropathways.

Biofeedback Headset Technology
Programmed to deliver bilateral light stimulation and binaural sound, which restore the brain’s natural balance to recharge, reset, and relax.

Proprietary Neuro-Nutritional Supplements
Allow for improved chemical balancing necessary to support neuronal detoxification and positive neuroplasticity.

Program Oversight by Psychologist
We use standard measurement tools including: The WHOQOL-Bref (Quality of Life); The CEFI-A (Executive Functioning); The DASS (Depression, Anxiety and Stress); the PCL-5 (Trauma); The PSQI (Sleep) and the RS-14 (Resilience).

Program Requirements
Participants must be available for two sessions per week (approximately 10-15 minutes each visit) for 12-weeks, and one session a week (10-15 minutes each) for the last 12-weeks. Additionally, they will schedule 2 sessions a week (10 minutes) for all 24-weeks to use the neuro-guidance technology at a time convenient for them.

Can you accommodate my shift schedule?

We can accommodate just about any schedule. M-F (4 am-7 pm) Sat (7-3). If you need anything outside of these times, please let us know, and we will see if we can make additional accommodations.

Who will see my information? Where does it go? Who has access to it?

As a participant in the Vitanya Brain Performance program, all of your information is protected by HIPAA-compliant software. Your information will never be shared with any command staff.

Is this program like talk therapy? Will I be expected to talk about my past?

The Vitanya program is not talk therapy. You won't be asked about past experiences or calls. In fact, it is perfectly acceptable not to talk at all during our process, and you will still experience positive results.

I am new to being a first responder; why would I need to do this?

The Vitanya program will help improve resilience, making it much easier to mentally and physically adapt to the challenging life of being a first responder. It's a way of being proactive rather than reactive.

I am close to retirement. Is it too late for me to do the program?

It is not too late to do the Vitanya program. The program will help your brain process all the challenging experiences of your career and allow you to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. If you are scheduled to retire soon, you do need to be able to access the station to complete the 24-week program.

Will I need to pay for anything before or after the program?

No, Heal the Hero Foundation covers all costs associated with the program during your 24-week program.
